Ramadan Food Parcels

Ramadan is a special time of year; a time when Muslims around the world take a step back from their daily routines and focus on community, charity, fasting, and prayer.

Namigalo is a remote village in Mbale. 70% of the total population of 2,400 persons are Muslims. People here generally are poor living below the poverty line. They earn less than $0.50 per day. Most of them are peasants who depend mainly on substance farming but for this season no farming has started yet, simply because SubhanAllah rain has not yet started and is InshaAllah expected in late March. 

With the current situation, Muslims are wondering where they will get meals for Iftar and Suhor during Ramadan.

Objectives of the Ramadan Feeding Program

To provide food support to 100 widows and destitute fasting families during the Holy Month of Ramadan to facilitate nutritious Iftar.

Your donation will help to provide a nutritious meal to the families during the month of Ramadan. 

Hazrat Abdullah Ibn Abbas described that the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) was the most generous of people, and even more so during the month of Ramadan.

According to The Holy Quran “Those who spend their wealth by night and day, in secret and in public, shall have their reward with their Lord. On them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve” 

Every year, Humanity Aid Foundation provides food packages and Iftar dinners to the needy fasting Muslims during Ramadan (needy, widows, orphans, and poor families). 

This project will be implemented in rural Mbale, in Namigalo village, Uganda. Food packages will be distributed among the poor, deserving, orphans, widows, and the unfortunate people.

We aim to distribute 100 packs to 100 families. Each family will receive a Ramadan pack containing

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, “Whoever provides iftar for a fasting person in it (Ramadan), then that shall be forgiveness for his (the feeder’s) [minor] sins and freedom from the fire. And for such a feeder shall be the same reward as the one who fasted (whom he fed) without that person’s reward being decreased in the least.” (Ibn Khuzaimah)
