Aljaza Ramadan and Eid Food Supply for the Needy Muslims

We at Shining India Foundation (SIF) express our sincere Ramadan Mubarak wishes to you and your families. May this is a meaningful and rewarding month. 

The Holy Month of Ramadan enjoys a special importance in the Islamic calendar. 

As our Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, “It is Allah’s own month.” 

It is the chief of all months and the most glorious one; where we truly take time out to reflect on the bounty and mercy of our Creator and engage in spiritual connection. 

‘Fasting’ is one of the important pillars of Islam and it is the very month of Ramadan during which fasting has been made obligatory for all adults and sane Muslims. Fasting during Ramadan is obligatory and has such powerful benefits with the great entitlement of rewards, which we aspire towards. 

India is a country of vast differences; where you will find people of all walks of life from one end of the spectrum to another. 

There are many parts of India where extreme poverty is highly visible. Where people are so poor that they cannot even afford to arrange basic ‘Suhoor’ and ‘Iftar’. 

This situation has been accelerated due to the widespread poverty in the country. The population is beyond imagination and as a result, in India, poverty has become a major problem and we all know that with poverty comes hunger, illiteracy, malnutrition, child labor, and various other social issues and abuse. 

The current situation in India is beyond imagination and has extremely deteriorated. The poor, needy and vulnerable people cannot even make their ends meet. Vulnerable families are suffering.  


In parts of the State of Bihar especially in the area of Seemanchal (which has a much bigger population of Muslims compared to the rest of the areas within the state) was recently affected by floods this year due to which many villages were wiped off and suffered tremendous damage, people were isolated with no food or support from local authorities and lack of pure drinking water. 

The people were desolated and had lost hope but slowly with the mercy of Allah SWT, they overcame this natural calamity. 


Nature was very harsh to them and now due to the COVID pandemic, they are again affected grievously - leaving them once more vulnerable. 

This Ramadan again people are affected and they have lost their livelihoods and they are unable to support themselves and their families. 

With our feeding program, we plan to provide Ramadan food kits to needy 300 families so that they can fast with proper Suhoor and Iftar and not have to worry about how they will be able to survive.

With this initiative of providing food kits to the needy Muslims for their ‘Suhoor’  and ‘Ifatri’ we want to bring a smile to the ones in need and help them overcome this period of hardship. 

In this feeding program, we plan to provide food kits for 300 families that will allow them to keep and break their fasts with proper meals; and InshaAllah in return for your generous contribution we pray Almighty to bring immense blessings to you and your loved ones. 

We will utilize all the contributions made by everyone to support the ones in need. With your help and support, we will InshaAllah bring a change in their lives this Ramadan and beyond. 

We also plan to give gifts on Eid to the children; which no doubt will bring a big smile onto their faces. Many kids go without enjoying childhood or even experiencing the treats we had when growing up and experiencing Ramadan and Eid. May Allah SWT grant us goodness and ease in this life and hereafter. Ameen.
