While the Global pandemic has almost damaged the locality, its livelihoods, and the lives of people in many parts of the world, The season of the Sacrificial Worship Eid-Al-Adha and hopes for deliverance and blessings is almost nearing the Islamic Calendar.

And also Sri Lanka is facing the worst financial crisis in its history. Food prices on the island nation rose by a record 30% in March alone. Many basic necessities are now out of reach for the people in the country of 22 million people

While Eid-Al-Adha embarks on new hopes and horizons of Justice and Equality, Global Ehsan Relief initiates its Community-driven Sacrificial Worship where Islamic communities from the region gather to worship the Almighty and share the blessings of Allah SWT in its neighborhoods.

This season of the Holy Eid-al-Adha has posed many challenges to the poor, underprivileged Islamic families where the rural economy has almost fallen and many families are facing the lengths of extreme poverty and chaos.

The project aims to support rural onsets with provisions of organizing Sacrificial Worship sessions where communities are organized to pay the sacrifice/ slaughter the cows and serve it to their communities. The project will extensively deliver the message behind Eid-Al-Adha and how Allah delivers Justice to everyone who seeks his mercy and blessings.

Global Ehsan Relief Sri Lanka seeks to safeguard and protect vulnerable Muslims through this initiative, allowing them to be better prepared by easing their concerns about how to access food with which to start and end their fast and celebrate the end of the fast, supplying prayer mats in order to be even more connected with prayers during the period, and finally allowing them to celebrate the festival without worrying about unaffordability.
