HELP build a Water Station for 40,000 people in Malawi!

Imagine providing clean safe drinking water for 40,000 people every day in Malawi! Your support will help REMOVE the hardship from Mothers and their Children of walking miles to try and fetch clean safe water for their families and community.

We need your help to solve the water crisis in this region to prevent destroying its security, economy, and overall health of the population.

But these aren't just any water wells, we ensure.....

With the help of the local community leaders, we identify locations to build water stations that would maximise the impact of safe drinking water, therefore in places with the most people and important facilities such as hospitals, maternity clinics, and pharmacies

We go a step further by building water taps, electric pumps, and solar-powered pumps, so that people may access water without walking miles outside and women could use these tools to get water instead of going through the agony of pumping water. As suggested by the locals, we have also added shelters over our water stations to protect them from the heat, and installed lights so people from the village can safely use water at through the night also.

Mediocre wells were built by other charities before because they’re cheaper and more convenient. We make the promise to go in with your donations and refurbish water wells and reconstruct water stations that were poorly constructed in order to make them a safe experience to receive and drink water.

You are always part of our journey from start to finish! From the moment we 1st strike water, to the opening of the Water station, we will document each phase of the build and share the stories, emotions and capture the raw efforts of those assisting along the way.

We collaborate with the locals to look for opportunities on even the most tiny yet significant, details to improve on that would maximise the benefit for all people in a particular region.

Because of socialising and engaging with people on the ground, we have begun not only to build water stations, but scout the right locations where the water is needed most and would boost the impact. We also strategically design water stations and facilities that enables getting access to safe drinking water in the shortest time in the most efficient way.

Currently we build smart water facilities for Uganda, Malawi and Nigeria. We have listened to the needs of these people and the challenges they face with water, rather than assuming we know what they value.

We have worked to bridge the gap between ourselves and the people who are in need of clean drinking water. We have taken into account that it’s not just about collecting donations and building water wells but extending our efforts towards specified needs of a village or community

We spent time with people in those countries and haven’t underestimated the hours per day it takes for them to access even a small amount of clean drinking water. We promote solutions that would allow people to focus on immediate daily realities and achieving a work-life balance.

Instead of travelling far away to get water, people can access it close to the region that they are operating in, and that saves them time and effort which they can use in other things like creativity, education at school, and an enriched family life.

Fewer children are going to miss school to walk miles to get water or help their family with manual labor, and more women are able to prevent injury and health problems from carrying heavy pots of water from distances – water that isn’t even safe nor clean to drink!

Hospital, pharmacy, medical clinic and maternity clinic - CLOSED!

The matter of urgency came to our attention when we learnt of the hospital closing down, pharmacy not functioning, medical clinic closed and maternity ward on the brink of closure because people were not going there from a lack of confidence that they would be treated properly due to dirty water. The only option for people was to walk a long way to another hospital to get treated, and already due to weakness of the immune system and illnesses caused by unsafe drinking water it wasn’t feasible.

As you can imagine, this is a tiring task for people who live there and require the attention of doctors, nurses, and hospital facilities.

What’s worse is that the maternity ward within this hospital had a capacity to give birth to 40 women per month before, and it dropped to 2 births per month. Again, why?

To even think to feed them unsafe drinking water for the sake of treatment is unjustifiable as we all know the consequences of that will be dire to the mother and baby.

Our solution? We revived the entire clinic by building a water station slap-bang in the middle of it. The clinic has since been operating stably since no one needs to travel out of the clinic to get clean water for the maternity ward.

And the kicker? There is enough water in the station to provide for 40,000 people! People from the village locally come and collect water from the maternity hospital too. There’s enough to go around.

Approximately 1.2 million deaths around the world happen because of unsafe water!

We are at a great moment in history to make a different right now! If the year of the pandemic has taught us anything, it’s that we have to undergo a major transformation; a shift in our entire approach to life, from a competitive self-centered approach to one where we share mutual responsibility and consideration for each other.

Setting the example for the next generation to continue our efforts in providing means for safe water. We deem clean drinking water flourishes human life and society. It’s vital for survival and growth.

What makes our water donation platform stand out is the values that drive us: we use smart methods that get clean water to people efficiently and promote greater freedom. Because we have been doing this for a long time, we’ve paid particularly attention to the small things that matter to people on-the-ground and can put ourselves in their shoes when we design and deliver water resources.
