Ramadan Feeding Program for 200 Orphans

Our mission this Ramadan 1443 (2022) is to feed approximately 200 Orphans in the Kwarikwar area, Bukedea District, Eastern Uganda.

Ramadan is a holy month in Islam that is filled with plenty of joy, blessings, and rewards.

It demonstrates the brotherhood and humanity among Muslims in the Ummah as a result of helping the needy like Orphans all over the world. 

Fasting during the month of Ramadan is one of the greatest pillars of Islam and is a period in which all Muslims concentrate on it through fasting, supplication, praying, and giving charity (Sadaqah) to the needy especially the destitute and orphans with the intention to be grateful to Allah SWT. 

Kwarikwar is a village located in Bukedea District, Eastern part of Uganda. 

80% of the total population of 4,200 are Muslims. This village has around 200 orphans facing the challenges of upbringing, from poverty, lack of basic needs, and secure accommodation and education. Poverty plays a role in children being abandoned, along with various other reasons. 

It is, therefore, our duty as an ummah to come together and to support those in need throughout the year, but more so in the month of Ramadan.

Donate Ramadan Food Pack to Feed 200 Orphans

Kwarikwar Orphan Care Feeding Campaign will ensure iftar meals and food packs are provided to the orphan care with nutritious meals throughout Ramadan. The food pack consists of;

        ✓ 3 liters of cooking oil

The Holy Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) said: “I will be like this in Jannah with the person who takes care of an orphan.”

The Holy Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) raised his forefinger and middle finger by way of illustration [Sahih al-Bukhari, Kitab al-Adab].

May Allah accept all our good deeds and allow us always to be able to help others, especially orphans who lost their parents. 

With the current situation, orphans are wondering where they will get meals for Iftar and Suhor during Ramadan.

Kwarikwar Orphan Care  Project Management

The project will be managed by Kwarikwar Orphan Care – a charity established back in 2020 with the main aim of "Helping Humanity In Need" in Bukedea District Eastern Uganda. 

Kwarikwar Orphan Care is a Voluntary Community-Based Organization founded to alleviate poverty in rural villages through its activities of; 

Kwarikwar Orphan Care provides project updates. We put transparency and trust into our work and follow best practices in governance.

Alhamdulillah - We have also completed many projects similar to this that gives us the experience to deliver this project successfully 

Kwarikwar Orphan Care Organisation provides food packages and iftar dinners to the needy fasting Muslims during Ramadan (needy, widows, orphans, and poor families). This project will be implemented in rural Bukedea, in Kwarikwar village, Uganda.
